The first tract from Pto. Williams until the cascade is completed in 20 min, from where the ascent begins to the hill Flag for a lenga forest and with a very marked print. In one hour the end of the forest is reached and you continues for the naked hillside of the hill until reaching the plateau of the summit of the hill Flag. From here you advances smoothly for the hillside of the hill, for on the line of the forest. To our right it is projected the Valley Róbalo, with a view to several lagoons. In two hours is reached the Laggon El Salto, to which you arrives after descending a strong slope in transporting that took to the riverside of the lagoon. Here you can camp comfortably.
Day 2:
The second day one of the most complicated tracts in the route, the step through the Dientes de Navarino is carried out. The progression is quick with good climatic conditions, in an accareo land. Sunk in the silence of the mountain, one of the highest points in the voyage, the step Australia is reached, to 805 msnm. From here the lagoon of the Step, lagoon formed by the thaw appears and that it should be skirted by its right, in a route of adherence, to reach the step of the Dientes. When reaching this portezuelo, one of the most astonishing landscapes in the trip opens up before the traveler. Looking directly toward the south is come the bay Nassau, Winhond and the islands Wollaston, islands where it is the Cabo de Hornos and the end of the American continent. You advances in descent and skirting a couple of lagoons until reaching the height of the forest. In this sector the route rotates toward the west, toward the lagoon of the Dientes. Advancing for a thin forest, the bank of the lagoon is reached, with a great quantity of dry and cut bushes, product of the work of the beavers to build its you dam. Here it`s begins to appear a new landscape, a landscape modified by the action of the beavers that ity have exercised an enormous impact in the ecosystem of the island. Big you dam they can be observed from this part of the trip along all the valleys. Here it is good place to rest and to eat lunch, to enjoy the lagoon, the view from the south of the cord of the Dientes de Navarino and of the Gabriel`s hill . You continuous the march for the north bank of the lagoon of the Teeth, to reach the entrance of the valley that takes toward the Hidden lagoon, place of the second camp.
Day 3:
The following day the march is toward the step Gale. When reaching this step, the descent begins for a very marked transporting, reaching the bottom of the valley that takes to the foot of the step Guerrico. You ascends for the short and sheer slope. When arriving up we could have a beautiful view of the valley that is behind. Skirting the lagoon for the northwest, their drainage is reached and you begins the descent toward the valley Guerrico, until the south bank, drawing a couple of you dam of beaver. To the west it is the imposing hill Clem. Here it is other good place to camp.
Day 4:
Surrounding the lagoon Hammer for the east, their outlet should be reached. From here you a valley travels with several lagoons and the place is sighted where to be the step Virginia: a neckline in the mountainous cord that was to our right. To the foot of the step Virginia one can make a high one to rest and to eat lunch. From here it is projected a strong slope that crosses on the part of the forest and then it ascends in the naked hillside of the hill. You arrives to the summit of the plateau in half hour and you advances toward their other end, after a long walk in northwest address, for a quite arid landscape. From here up was possible to sight the channel Beagle toward the northeast and the city of Ushuaia. Once we reach the northeastern margin of the plateau, the highest place in the route (859 msnm), one meets with an impressive landscape, a cliff that falls 300 mts almost vertically toward the lagoon The Gumps. It is a difficult and dangerous slope, with very loose stone and from time to time, very strong blasts of wind that pushes for the back. To half the land becomes on the way more stable, but the slope stays. Once reached the bank of the lagoon, is continued skirting the lagoon for the north until reaching its drainage. Of there it goes down to the lagoon The Guanacas to look for a camp place.
Day 5:
Skirting the lagoon for the west, we advance toward their outlet. Here he/she is a very pleasant place to camp, with a wonderful view toward the Beagle. From here you the descent begins toward the bay Virginia, toward the facilities of the abandoned Fishing Mac they read on the edge of a road. Once reached this, they are 8 Km. to Puerto Williams. Seven days of trip in the route of the Dientes de Navarino, seven days of sharing with the nature. In definitive this it is a wonderful trip of principle to end, besides an unique experience, to be the most southern trekking in the world, in a not very well-known earth of beauty without comparison.
